Do not suddenly discontinue the treatment. Otherwise you may experience headache, insomnia, abdominal cramps, chilliness, and nausea.

This drug may aggravate the effects of alcohol. Be cautious drinking alcoholic beverages while you are taking this drug.

What are possible food and drug interactions?

Co-administration of Soma Carisoprodol with certain other drugs, can increase, decrease, or alter the effects of either. It is especially important to confer with your doctor before taking antidepressant drugs known as tricyclics or MAO inhibitors, major tranquilizers and antipsychotic drugs such as haloperidol, and other sedatives such as alprazolam and triazolam.

Is use of Soma safe during pregnancy or breastfeeding?

The effects of Soma during pregnancy have not been recognized. If you are pregnant or want to become pregnant, don’t forget to notify your doctor right away. This drug excretes in breast milk and may possibly affect a nursing child. If you need this medication urgently, discontinue breastfeeding until your treatment is finished.

What happens if I miss a dose?

Take the missed dose once you remember. If it is almost time for your next dose, do not take extra medicine to make up the missed dose. Take the medicine at the next regularly scheduled time.

What happens if I overdose?

Contact your doctor if you think you have used too much of this medicine.

Overdose may result in shallow breathing, vision problems, fast heartbeat, confusion, hallucinations (seeing things), muscle stiffness, feeling light-headed, fainting, or seizure (convulsions).
